Leadership and Communication Training
At the start of her career, Tammy worked as a federal employee with Social Security and then as a training contractor at the U.S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Combining those early experiences with years as a corporate trainer working with banks, manufacturing firms, and higher education, she understands first-hand the challenges organizations face — keeping employees engaged amid a rapid rate of change.
Tammy’s training and coaching equips employees with the interpersonal communication skills needed to work effectively as a team. Courses she developed for University of Southern Indiana’s New Leader Program were funded by the Eli Lily Foundation. She also serves as an assessor for USI’s Management and Diagnostic Center.
Tammy is a Leadership Challenge facilitator and a DDI certified trainer. She completed her studies at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, receiving a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Mass Communication. She recently completed an M.B.A. degree at USI.
Her articles have appeared in the Jackson Clarion Ledger, the Evansville Courier, the Evansville Business Magazine, the Hattiesburg American, and the former Indiana Journal of Commerce and Industry. She is also the author of Get Yourself Elected
